Breakfast made my day brighter

We were greeted with warm hospitality. Nicola's breakfast was a good highlight. With local ingredients, it was both varied and robust. The fine views from our room added an enchanting touch to our stay.

It wasn't a deal-breaker, but it did require some adjustment on our part.

The service was excellent, the food was gorgeous!

The room was spotlessly clean with "real" milk, a balcony and good view, just what was needed. Good and beautiful location for visiting restaurants and pubs minutes away from the hotel.

The grape shears of the room with a balcony made it a joy to kick back, taking in the stellar views of the hills. Fresh milk in the mini fridge is a nice touch. Who needs those long-life pots?

The location's steep drive can be a bit much for the faint of heart, especially for those used to smoother paths. Plus, the small double room could use a king-size option to really stretch out. Breakfast had to be pre-ordered, which lacks flexibility for those who enjoy variety day by day.

What they got right and wrong

The en suite rooms are immaculate, well-furnished, and the breakfast is diverse with vegan options. The host was cute, offering great tips for walks and spots to eat.

A few guests pointed out that the shower room felt cramped. Dining options required advance bookings, which could be inconvenient when looking for spontaneity.

Clean room, nice outdoor dining area, and free Wi-Fi. Parking was limited.

The tiny WC/shower room felt cramped. The necessity to pre-book local restaurants could be inconvenient for those wanting a more spontaneous dining experience after a long day of adventures. Navigating the steep, winding drive to the village could be nerve-wracking for some.

We were warmly welcomed and immediately felt at home. The cozy room was beautifully decorated and offered fine views of the surrounding hills. The well-kept garden was a lovely spot for relaxation, and the location was perfect, just a short walk from local shops and attractions.

Parking spaces were limited, which required some planning ahead.

The breakfasts were good, showcasing an excellent array of local produce that added flavor to our mornings.

While our stay was pleasant overall, the steep drive to Lynton was challenging, especially for those not used to narrow, winding roads.

Lovely clean room

We had a lovely stay with a beautifully cozy room filled with thoughtful touches and enjoyed a delicious breakfast prepared by our attentive host. The garden was stunning, though parking was a bit challenging.

We had an amazing family holiday at gable lodge! The hosts were cute, and the breakfast options were great. Our triple room was clean and comfy, exceeding all our expectations.

Charming stay with superb hosts

The balcony was the best spot to chill with a drink and enjoy the views. The hosts, Ann and Dave, were super friendly and had great tips on places to visit. The only minor thing was the parking space was tight at times, but it's manageable!

I stayed in the Double Room with Balcony for 2 nights and it was so cozy! The view of the hills from my balcony was fine and really made the room special. The bedding was soft, and I slept like a baby. But, breakfast had to be preordered, a bit of a hassle since I like variety. Still, the overall vibe was very homely and I felt super comfortable .
